What colours can I choose?
Brown or grey. Both are the same size and the same build, so just pick the one that suits your fence and your house.
What is the screen made of?
Sun-protected HDPE, which is high-density polyethylene. It's woven into a mesh fabric.
Can wind get through it?
Yes. The woven mesh lets air through, so it doesn't catch the wind like a sail the way a solid sheet would.
Will rain pool on it?
No. Water runs straight through the weave, so there's nothing to collect.
How do I put it up?
Hold it against the fence, thread a strap through each grommet and pull it tight around the wire, rail or post behind it. Start at one corner and work along.
What comes in the box?

How far apart are the grommets?
About 30cm apart up the short sides and about 48cm apart along the top and bottom edges.
What are the grommets made of?
The maker lists them as copper. They sit in the edge binding all the way around the screen.
Are the edges reinforced?
Yes. All four edges have a black 3.3cm binding, and the grommets go through it. That's what helps the screen hold up in the wind.
Will it fit a chain link fence?
That's the easiest fit of all. The straps go straight through the diamond mesh, and welded wire fences work the same way.
Can I use it on a wooden or palisade fence?
Yes, as long as there's something to tie the straps to every few grommets. Rails, posts and uprights all do the job.
My fence is longer than 50ft. What do I do?
Order more than one. Each screen is 15.24m long, so a 30m fence takes two, hung end to end.
Can I use it around the pool?
Yes. It blocks the view in from the street or next door while you swim. It doesn't replace a proper pool fence or self-closing gate, so keep those as they are.
Will it stop my dog barking at the neighbours?
It can help. If your dog can't see next door's dog or people walking past, there's a lot less to bark at.
Can I use it in the veggie garden?
Yes. It works as a windbreak for veggie beds and seedlings, and it gives young plants a bit of shelter.
Can I use it on a dog run or kennel?
Yes. Strap it to the run to give your dog shade and a bit of privacy.
Is it good for building sites?
Yes. Builders use this kind of screen to hide a site from the street and keep some of the dust in.
Does it need any maintenance?
Not really. Give it a hose down if it gets dusty and check the straps now and then.

Not much. It's a mesh, so it won't soundproof your yard. It's made for privacy and for taking the edge off the wind.
